You go to gather lotus blooms from day to day
And often come back late for long ，long is the way

背景及解析：
這首詩是王維題友人所居的《皇甫嶽雲溪雜題五首》之第二首，歌主要詠寫對荷花的喜愛，卻不正面用筆。采蓮人日日早出晚歸，十辛苦地采蓮勞作。然而采蓮人也自有他們的生活樂趣。"弄篙莫濺水，畏濕紅蓮衣"形象生動地展現了采蓮人對蓮花的珍愛與憐惜，同時也表明了他們熱愛生活、珍惜美好事物的情操。擔心被水濺濕衣物。
